Polder & Dike doesn't like PVC, mass production and fast fashion.

We design in North-Holland and from now on we manufacture in our small studio in "the boot" (which is not made of leather) of Southern-Europe.

Simply with fair European working conditions and no child labor of course.

Just as it should be. Nearby. Why not ?

By using leftovers, each product is unique and also tells a special story.

Bags are made from the large pieces of leather, the logos are made from the parts(leftovers) that remain.

A very simple circular production in which we reduce our waste to almost zero.

Our designs are timeless, last for years and are handmade from durable leather.

For the European market, we consciously choose European picked cotton for the inner lining of our bags.

The largest cotton producers are China, United States, Pakistan and India, but we prefer to choose European cotton from Greece and Italy.

What comes up close is better for the environment. Where possible, we keep the footprint as low as possible.

Not around the corner but very nearby and the cotton-workers are paid fairly according to European standards.

Every bag is unique due to the use of leftovers.

Bags are made from the large pieces of leather, the logos and pullers are made from the parts that remain.

A circular production in which we reduce our waste to almost zero.

We do our best, just like you !

Our innovative premium yarns for our bags are made by a German / American yarn & textile producer with more than 150 years of history with the vision

to make the world a better place by developing 100% sustainable stitching yarns.

PET bottles are converted into a regenerated stitching yarn after consumption via an advanced purification process.

This yarn can again be recycled indefinitely without loss of material quality, making it perfectly circular.

Around the 1900s, everything was different. For our ancestors, skins were pure commerce in combination with the necessity to survive.

But around the year 2000 we look more consciously at fashion and accessories.

That is why we have opted for partners who also consciously and responsibly consider

the value of the earth in combination with people. (read; producer & consumer)

Take care of your skin, so you take care of your body.

Take care of the leather, so you take care of your bag.

Cherish what's good for you.

Cherish the good things in life.

Respect for people & planet. Be conscious where and when possible.
